Liliana (Lilophilia) Adaluz Romero Segura is a Colombian graphic and visual artist based in London. She has a BA in Visual Arts with a focus on Graphic Art from the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogota, Colombia as well as a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts with a focus on Printmaking from the Camberwell College of Arts in London. In addition to several solo and group exhibitions in Colombia and England, this Afro-Colombian artist won the "East London Printmakers MA Award 2020" and was named "Sydenham Art Trail 2020 Artist of the Year".
Through various experiences with the black community in London, the Colombian community and the Latina women's community, Romero’s definition of black personhood has evolved into new meanings. These experiences are manifested in her artwork, marked by Romero’s activism and identity as a black Afro-Colombian woman. In her impressions, Liliana A. Romero addresses black feminist activism, LGBTQ+ community issues, refugee communities and self-identity.
