Recuerdos inundados

El trabajo de Uýra interviene el agua, la identidad, la resistencia y desafía la devastación ambiental y el desplazamiento forzado.

A través de la fotografía, la performance y la instalación, Uýra explora en Memórias de alagamento (Recuerdos inundadas) el agua como portador de memoria, resistencia e identidad indígena a la vez que denuncia la destrucción ambiental y el desplazamiento forzado en la Amazonia y en centros urbanos como Manaos y Bogotá.

Desarrollada durante una residencia en Bogotá, la muestra traza paralelos entre el soterrado río San Francisco/Vicachá y las historias silenciadas del pueblo muisca. Estructurada en tres movimientos —atravesar, reflejar, conectar— Memórias de alagamento invita a los observadores a ver el vínculo entre geografías, memorias y realidades multidimensionales mientras amplifica las voces de la naturaleza y de las comunidades, que se rehúsan a ser borradas. Las obras de UÝRA reinterpretan la relación entre el cuerpo y el territorio fusionando biología, ecología indígena y performance.

Memórias de alagamento estuvo en el Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá (MAMBO), Colombia, hasta el 1 de junio de 2025.
