Take part in the panel "Black Brazilian futurity in contemporary art" on September 6 in São Paulo.

2023 marks a special year for Contemporary And (C&): the platform has turned TEN!

That’s one decade of publishing, exchanging, listening, learning, networking, sharing, meeting, collaborating, developing, dancing … and receiving local, national, and international support, developing partnerships near and far.

One decade of constantly growing the C& network, thinking canons beyond a canon, writing art histories, creating new presents, producing futures in the now.

It’s not only C&’s 10th anniversary, it is also the 5th anniversary of C& América Latina Magazine!

On 6 September we will host a panel and get-together in São Paulo around Black Brazilian Futurity in Contemporary Art. In partnership with the 35th Bienal de São Paulo and the project Sauna Lésbica, we have invited Castiel Vitorino Brasileiro, Aline Motta, and Rosana Paulino to discuss the influence and power of the genealogy of Afro-Brazilian culture in contemporary art in Brazil – including their own artistic practices.

Come to meet us!
