El quilombismo

Una exposición inspirada en la filosofía del quilombismo de Abdias Nascimento marca la reapertura de la Casa de las Culturas del Mundo, en Berlín.

En la Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Casa de las Culturas del Mundo), en Berlín, estuvo abierta para visitación la exposición El quilombismo. Sobre resistir e insistir. sobre la huida como lucha. Sobre otras filosofías políticas democráticas e igualitarias, que toma como punto de partida la filosofía del quilombismo, desarrollada por el artista, escritor y político brasilero Abdias Nascimento (1914-2011). Nascimento definió los quilombos –comunidades creadas por personas esclavizadas fugitivas y emancipadas– como sociedades de “reunión fraterna y libre, o encuentro: solidaridad, convivencia y comunión existencial”.

La muestra no sólo utilizava la idea de quilombo de modo metafórico sino que también reflexiona sobre las implicaciones intelectuales y políticas de una filosofía y una ideología basadas en los quilombos y elabora un mapa de los espacios que los volvieron posibles, sea en tiempos históricos, en la imaginación de muchos o en nuestros múltiples mundos contemporáneos. Se exhiben trabajos de artistas de diversos países, entre otros, Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Cuba, Cabo Verde, Mozambique.
