Le pays de Cocagne – Group Show

24 Enero 2025

Cierra: 29 marzo 2025

Galerie Cécile Fakhoury presents Le pays de Cocagne, a group show featuring artists Thibaud Bouedjoro-Camus, Dalila Dalléas Bouzar, Yo-Yo Gonthier, Souleymane Keita, Carl-Edouard Keïta, Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux, Vincent Michéa, Rachel Marsil, Kassou Seydou and Ouattara Watts.

The works in the exhibition Le Pays de Cocagne offer a joyful evocation of West Africa. Conceived as an antidote to the European winter, the exhibition draws from the vibrancy of an evening in Abidjan (Thibaut Bouedjoro-Camus), a nostalgic stroll through Dakar (Vincent Michéa), or a performance on the Niger River (Yo-Yo Gonthier). Scenes of rest and abundance (Rachel Marsil, Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux) also narrate the search for a place of one’s own, within an inner geography that directly connects the local and the cosmic (Ouattara Watts, Dalila Dalléas Bouzar). Anticipation takes root, along with dreams, on sunlit shores (Kassou Seydou, Carl-Edouard Keïta).
