Born in 1952 in Nice, Didier Schaub was a cultural producer and curator. He was cofounder along with his wife Princess Marilyn Douala-Bell and artistic director of doual’art, a center for contemporary art in Douala, Cameroon. Born in 1952 in Nice, Didier Schaub was a cultural producer and curator. He was cofounder along with his wife Princess Marilyn Douala-Bell and artistic director of doual’art, a center for contemporary art in Douala, Cameroon. Schaub was also the artistic director and co-curator of the Salon Urbain de Douala, SUD (Douala, 2007, 2010, 2013), an international public art festival. In addition, Schaub was curator and member of the sculpture jury for the 6th Francophone Games (Beirut, 2009), president of the jury for the International Symposium of Monumental Sculpture (Libreville, 2005), and co-curator of the Dakar Biennial (Dakar, 2004).
Didier Schaub died the 11th of November 2014 in Paris.
