The 58th Venice Biennale counts a record 90 national participations, nine of which are from Africa, while Ghana and Madagascar debut their respective pavilions at Arsenale. Other events featuring African perspectives include The African Art Forum in Venice, the AFRICOBRA collective exhibition, The Netherlands and British pavilions. The biennale continues until 24 November 2019. Here's our first impressions of some of the national pavilions.
