Afterlives of History

Le Portugal abrite l’une des plus grandes communautés afro-diasporiques en Europe, liée à des pays lusophones tels que le Cap-Vert, l’Angola, São Tomé et Príncipe, la Guinée-Bissau et le Mozambique. En tant que premier empire colonial occidental, le Portugal a tracé les grandes lignes directrices des inégalités mondiales d’aujourd’hui.

Cette réalité, ainsi que la crise persistante à laquelle le pays est confronté, conditionnent la visibilité internationale de la communauté afro-diasporique du Portugal. Cette série, intitulée « Afterlives of History », met en lumière ses artistes dans toute leur variété et leur complexité.
