Burning Museum: Addressing the headquarters

Presentation by the Burning Museum on their interventions on the walls of the colonial center of Cape Town.

“Hoe plak ek die gate van my siel toe?
Die plakkers plak linoleum teen die harde sememt vloere, teen die mure… in die hoop dat ‘n lewe, ‘n leefstyl weer aanmekar geplak kan word.”

Armed with Stanley knifes, posters, paper and glue the Burning Museum brings local histories to the streets of Cape Town. Cut, snip, paste, shred, stick! Tanzeem Wentzel, Jarret Erasmus and Justin Dave, three members of the Burning Museum collective will give a presentation on their interventions on the walls of the colonial center of Cape Town. Thursday 25th June, 8pm This event is organized in corporation with gerilja/kurating and Burning Museum. The evening will start with an introduction by Chandra Frank, as a preview on the exhibition Re(as)sisting Narratives which will be hosted by Framer Framed in 2016.
