Verdure: A Condition of Freshness – Group Show

Verdure: A Condition of Freshness – Group Show
Closes: 15 February 2023
Arushi gallery presents Verdure: A Condition of Freshness, curated by Arushi Kapoor and Tina Tangalakis. The show features artworks by emerging artists of the African diaspora that showcase their distinct figurative styles while exploring the need for positive reinforcement for the society around them.
The artworks encourage introspection and showcase singular figures in their natural setting. The exhibit has included artists from different minority backgrounds within the African diaspora to enable the viewer to juxtaposition the theme of positive introspection under the shadow of their individual circumstances. Artworks from Edozie, Adulphina Imuede, Clarence James and Jupiter Lockett will be on show.
The exhibit opens at the home of Arushi Kapoor, an avid collector of minority artists, along with a display of artworks of her personal collection.
Opening reception: February 15th, 3-6pm Please email Arushi (arushi@arushikapoor.com) if you would like to get a private view after the 15th.
