Rose Mara Kielela

Rose Mara Kielela was born in Ribeirão Pires, São Paulo, and currently lives between Brazil and Angola. She started her artistic trajectory at the age of 14 studying dance at the Municipal Dance School of Ribeirão Pires and the Free Dance School of Santo André. She has a Bachelor of Dance from the Faculty of Arts of the State University of Paraná Unespar-FAP and did her Master's degree in Aesthetics and Artistic Studies at the New University of Lisbon, and in Psychomotricity at the University of Évora. Her artistic research is always linked to the question of the relationship between image and movement. She calls her autobiographical approach and multi-language work “multidimensional performance” - in reference to the concept named by the Argentinian researcher Alejandro Frigerio. Kielela is co-founder of the group Agô Black Performances, to which she still belongs.
