The NEST collective is a Kenyan multidisciplinary art space. The collective creates programmes and launches reinventions, bringing together artists and audiences to create something new.
An interactive programme of events, meetings and productions offers the opportunity for participation. It involves an exchange of different positions and thoughts in order to learn something new. One of the collective’s projects was dedicated to the queer scene in Kenya. In the summer of 2013, NEST began collecting stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, and intersexual people. The project titled, “Stories of Our Lives” generated the film of the same name giving insights into queer life in Kenya.
