A 36ª edição da Bienal é conduzida pelo curador-geral Prof. Dr. Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung, com sua equipe de cocuradores composta por Alya Sebti, Anna Roberta Goetz e Thiago de Paula Souza, além da cocuradora-at-large Keyna Eleison.

Nesta edição, a Bienal propõe repensar a humanidade como prática viva, guiada pela metáfora do estuário, espaço de encontros e coexistência. Estruturada em três eixos, inspira-se em Conceição Evaristo para reivindicar tempo, silêncio e reconexão com a natureza; em René Depestre para refletir sobre o outro e a interconectividade; e no manguebit para abordar colonialidade, poder e fusões culturais. A mostra sugere uma escuta atenta e a negociação entre mundos distintos.

A 36ª Bienal de São Paulo – Nem todo viandante anda estradas – Da humanidade como prática segue em cartaz até 11 de janeiro de 2026.
