Veronica Ryan: Objetos indisciplinados

A Pulitzer Arts Foundation apresenta mais de cem esculturas, têxteis, trabalhos em papel e objetos de Veronica Ryan, enfatizando a preocupação da artista com o significado pessoal e cultural incorporado em objetos do cotidiano.

Com curadoria de Tamara H. Schenkenberg e Molly Moog como assistente curatorial, Veronica Ryan: Unruly Objects (Veronica Ryan: Objetos indisciplinados) explora temas como transformação, memória e cuidado por meio de materiais de forma poética.

A exposição abrange várias décadas da carreira de Ryan, destacando seu envolvimento com formas orgânicas, como sementes, vagens e frutas — símbolos de crescimento, migração e renovação. Frequentemente suas obras combinam elementos feitos à mão, encontrados e naturais, encorajando o público a refletir sobre o significado pessoal e cultural incorporado em objetos do cotidiano. Ao longo da exposição, Ryan reimagina materiais familiares — incluindo chumbo, têxteis, garrafas plásticas, moldes de bronze e embalagens de alimentos — transformando-os em esculturas que evocam temas de cura, deslocamento e continuidade.

Veronica Ryan: Unruly Objects está em exibição até 27 de julho de 2025.
