O Quilombismo

Exposição inspirada na filosofia do quilombismo de Abdias Nascimento marca a reabertura da Casa das Culturas do Mundo em Berlim.

Esteve em cartaz, na Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Casa das Culturas do Mundo), em Berlim, a exposição O Quilombismo: Sobre resistir e insistir. Sobre fuga como luta. Sobre outras filosofias políticas democráticas e igualitárias, concebida a partir da filosofia do quilombismo, desenvolvida pelo artista, autor e político brasileiro Abdias Nascimento (1914–2011). Nascimento definiu os quilombos – comunidades criadas por pessoas escravizadas fugitivas e emancipadas – como sociedades de "reunião fraterna e livre, ou encontro; solidariedade, convivência e comunhão existencial".

A mostra utilizou a ideia de quilombo não apenas de forma metafórica, mas também refletiu sobre as implicações intelectuais e políticas de uma filosofia e ideologia baseadas nos quilombos, mapeando os espaços que os tornaram possíveis, seja em tempos históricos, na imaginação de muitos ou em nossos múltiplos mundos contemporâneos. Foram apresentados trabalhos de artistas de diversos países, incluindo Argentina, Brasil, Colômbia, Cuba, Cabo Verde e Moçambique, entre outros.
