C& Center of Unfinished Business

C& Center of Unfinished Business
The C& Center of Unfinished Business is a reading room offering visitors an extraordinary, sometimes disconcerting selection of books that are linked to the topic of colonialism in various ways – from German colonies to Congolese fashion to capital markets of 21st century.
The Center has been traveling since 2017 and connected in various ways with institutions from Berlin to Hong Kong, Cincinnati, Vienna, Toulouse, Athens, Kassel and New York. This long term project builds over time, integrating books from each of its hosting venues.
The selection of books available to viewers and readers, are provided by C&, the Contemporary at Blue Star, and Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Latino Bookstore.
The C& Center of Unfinished Business is a traveling exhibition originally conceived by Julia Grosse and Yvette Mutumba for C&. The presentation at Contemporary at Blue Star has been organized in collaboration with Jacqueline Saragoza McGilvray, Curator and Exhibitions Director.
