Abuso de las formas

Esta exhibición propone una lectura sobre las maneras y los procedimientos mediante los cuales el arte moderno y contemporáneo se han apropiado de saberes manuales, técnicas artesanales, iconografías populares y prehispánicas para incorporarlas en sus creaciones.

La muestra pone en debate la justicia de dichas transferencias. La selección comprende 70 piezas de diversos artistas: Eduardo Abaroa, Francis Alÿs, José Benítez, Juan Caloca, Mariana Castillo Deball, Isaac Contreras, Miguel Covarrubias, Francisco Cruz, Abraham Cruzvillegas y Felipe Ehrenberg.

Así como Mathias Goeritz, Jorge González, Thomas Glassford, Xavier Guerrero, Sheila Hicks, Ulrik López, Antje Majewski, Carlos Mérida, Jonathan Miralda, Nuria Montiel, Object Notes, Ana Pellicer, Clara Porset, Sandra Rozental, María Sosa, Diego Teo, Eduardo Terrazas, Germán Venegas y Andrés Villalobos.
