Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device’s memory until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser when you next visit the site.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

4. SOCIAL MEDIA

INSTAGRAM PLUGIN

The website includes features of the Instagram service. These features are provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland.

If logged into an Instagram account, Instagram may associate the visit to this website with the user profile. Personal data may also be transferred to Meta’s servers in the United States. We have no control over the scope and content of the data collected by Instagram through these features. Please note that the processing of personal data via social media plugins may involve transfers to third countries, such as the United States. The respective providers act as independent data controllers or processors for the data collected through their services.

For more information about how Instagram processes personal data, please refer to Meta’s privacy policy:

Policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

5. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

We use Google Analytics to analyze the usage of our website. The data collected is used to optimize both our website and our advertising measures.

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to implement measures ensuring the security and confidentiality of the data processed.

During your visit to our website, the following data, among others, is transmitted to Google:

  • Pages visited
  • Achievement of "website goals" (e.g., newsletter sign-ups)
  • Your behavior on the pages (e.g., time spent, clicks, scroll depth)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your internet address (IP address)
  • Technical information such as browser, internet provider, device, and screen resolution
  • The source of your visit (i.e., from which website or advertisement you came to us)
  • A randomly generated user ID

No personal data such as name, address, or contact information is transmitted to Google Analytics.

These data are transmitted to Google servers in the United States. Please note that the United States does not guarantee the same level of data protection as within the EU.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID, which allows you to be recognized during future visits to the website. You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. These user-related data are automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remain stored indefinitely in aggregated form.

Data collected via Google Analytics 4 may also be transferred to servers in the United States. In such cases, Google ensures an adequate level of data protection through mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

IP anonymization

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) does not log or store individual IP addresses. For EU-based traffic, IP address data is used solely for geolocation data derivation before being immediately discarded. It is not logged, accessible, or used for any additional use cases.

Browser Opt-out for Google Analytics

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to this website by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on instructs the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and gtag.js) not to send information to Google Analytics.

The add-on is available for most browsers and can be installed here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Please note that if you disable Google Analytics via this add-on, some features of this website may not function properly.

Outsourced Data Processing

We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Google to outsource our data processing activities. This agreement ensures compliance with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

MATOMO ANALYTICS

We use Matomo, an open-source web analytics platform, to better understand how visitors engage with our website and to continuously improve our content and user experience. Matomo operates in full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

All data collected through Matomo is stored on our own servers. No information is shared with third parties. The data helps us analyze website traffic, such as which pages are visited most frequently, how users navigate through the site, and where visitors come from.

Matomo uses technologies such as cookies or device fingerprinting to recognize returning visitors and to analyze usage patterns. All IP addresses are anonymized before storage, ensuring that no personally identifiable information is collected.

The processing of data through Matomo is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimization of our website and communication efforts. If you consent to the use of cookies, the processing is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time or opt out of tracking via your browser settings.

For more information about Matomo’s approach to data protection, please visit Matomo’s official Privacy Policy.

No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. YOUTUBE

Our website integrates videos using plugins from YouTube, a service operated by Google. The provider of this service is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When you visit a page on our website that includes a YouTube video, a connection to YouTube’s servers may be established. VIMEO

Our website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal (“Vimeo”). The service is operated by Vimeo, LLC / Vimeo Inc., based in the USA.

When you visit one of our pages that includes a Vimeo embed (video player), your browser establishes a connection to Vimeo’s servers. During this process, Vimeo receives information such as which of our pages you have visited and your IP address. This occurs even if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The transferred data may be stored on servers in the United States or other countries.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, Vimeo may link this browsing data directly to your personal profile. You can avoid this by logging out of Vimeo before using our site.

As a privacy-enhancing measure, we may append the dnt=1 (Do Not Track) parameter to Vimeo embed requests, which reduces tracking behavior. However, this does not fully prevent all cookies or data processing by Vimeo.

To comply with GDPR and data protection principles, the Vimeo embed on our site is only activated after you have given your express consent via our cookie consent tool or content-blocking mechanism. Until then, no connection to Vimeo servers is made, and no personal data is transferred.
