Art of Transformation: AFRICA GLOBAL

From December 2 through December 10, the Ten North Group presents Art of Transformation: AFRICA GLOBAL during Art Basel Miami Beach 2023 and Miami Art Week 2023. This annual program is designed to explore issues in the context of contemporary art from African and Afro Diasporic perspectives, bringing artists of African descent from around the world to Miami. The artists will take part in a series of exhibitions, panel discussions, performances, and film screenings.

AFRICA GLOBAL will offer five exhibitions taking place in the city of Opa-locka, Florida. These exhibitions will showcase works from the group’s extensive collection of art from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Diaspora. An accompanying series of events will furthermore highlight the works of various Black scholars.
