"Europe supported by Africa and America" (2015)

On the occasion of the exhibition "African Fashion", the sculpture "Africa supported by Africa and America" (2015) by Sokari Douglas Camp is on display at the Vicotria & Albert Museum.

The British-Nigerian artist focuses on socio-political issues and the history of the African Diaspora in her work. This monumental sculptural group addresses the legacies of slavery, issues of power and gender, and the climate crisis.
