House of Memories : Queer and Postcolonial Approaches to the Past

Transdisciplinary workshop/symposium and exhibition, with Jane Jin Kaisen, Lizza May David, Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa (tbc), Elahe Haschemi Yekani, Astrid Deuber-Mankowsky, Anja Michaelsen, Karin Michalski and students of KHM.

What constitutes our Houses of Memories? What does it contain, who do we share it with? How do collective, national traumata haunt individual biographies? And how can cultural memory studies and artistic works influence one another?

Participants, among others: Jane Jin Kaisen (artist, Copenhagen), Lizza May David (artist, Berlin), Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa (artist, London) (tbc), Elahe Haschemi Yekani (Europa-University Flensburg), Astrid Deuber-Mankowsky (Ruhr-University Bochum), Anja Michaelsen (Ruhr-University Bochum), Karin Michalski (Academy of Media Arts Cologne), students and graduates of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
