Something Played – MFA Thesis Exhibion
24 April 2017
Closes: 5 May 2017
In this post Web 2.0 time, new elements have come to mediate our social relations, goods and services. Life flows from the cyberspace to actual space and vice versa.
Artists, scientists and other field workers approach these phenomena and interpret them differently. One of these phenomena is the proliferation of objects such as videogames. Something Played is an exhibition that playfully attempts to put together works that suggest different takes on certain overlooked but vital aspects of our lives which could be experienced through these cultural objects.
The exhibition follows two major shows by the students from the Curatorial programme of the Department of Painting and Sculpture – ‘if you love…’ at the Loco shed, Adum, Kumasi and Memory and Amnesia: In the presence of absent futures at Prempeh II Library (KNUST Main Library), Kumasi.
